On Friday 25th, from 10 a.m to 13.30 p.m, the Oblate Library of Florence will host the final Conference of ALL4WELL, a project funded with the support from the European Commission through its Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP), L. Da Vinci, TOI.
ALL4WELL is the last of a series of European projects created in order to facilitate language learning for the blind and visually impaired people.
While the previous projects, ALLVIP, ELLVIS and VET4VIP, produced language courses for computer specially structured to be used by this category of learners, ALL4WELL, instead, transfers and adapts the English language course, created by the ELLVIS project, to the needs of Romanian, Italians and Germans students working in the field of wellness.
The profession of masseure is in fact one of the most prestigious jobs for people who are blind and visually impaired.
The ALL4WELL language course brings new motivational input to VI learners contributing in increasing their professionalism, communication skills and interaction with the aim to have a positive effect on their employment prospects in the wellness industry.
The course, designed to be business-oriented, has been developed for Microsoft Windows systems (XP, Vista, Windows 7), and uses a joystick with tactile feedback able to facilitate the interface with the user.
All those who are interested in the initiative are invited to participate and confirm their attendance by sending an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
