RADAR - Vocational Guidance and Employability for Blind and Partially Sighted People
(ERASMUS+ K.A 2, Strategic Partnerships for VET, Development of Innovation)
RADAR aimed to tackle the difficult issues related to the disproportionate unemployment rates of blind and visually impaired people (VIP) in the EU. RADAR contributed to inform employers about new opportunities provided by the labor market and increase their knowledge on current training, accessibility systems, and new employment areas as well as to enrich and upgrade knowledge and and expertise of Labor SErvices Operators to better lead blind and visually impaired job-seekers towards new/additional training and work opportunities.
Specific Objectives
- Enhance the quality of VET Guidance Services & Work-Placement for blind and partially sighted job seekers and improve the sectoral competences of their related operators;
- Make employers more aware about VIP employability issues, professional roles which could be covered by them and providing information about standards / technological and requirements necessary for their optimal working conditions.
Target Groups
- Employers, guidance professionals, labor services operators, trainers and educators that could be an innovative reference to train / prepare them to effectively deal with blind and VIP needs.
- Trainers, educators, teachers, support teachers, and tutors to aid in managing specific needs of VIP

I.O1 TRAINING-EMPLOYABILITY- ACCESSIBILITY FRAMEWORK
General comparison framework of VIP work placement and social inclusion procedures for all participating countries
I.O2 SPECIAL GUIDELINES FOR EMPLOYERS
Highlight new roles and tasks potentially coverable by VIP, using assistive ICTs, to promote the culture of accessibility in the work-place
I.O3 OPERATIVE GUIDELINES FOR VET AND CAREER GUIDANCE OPERATORS
Create guidelines for employment and job-application services to manage the particular needs of VIP job seekers. As well as useful content for trainers, support teachers, educators, and families that have a key role in leading their blind and VIP relatives
All the Outputs are available as OER to guarantee their widest circulation & spread not only among the involved organizations but even toward all actors interested in working in the field of inclusive policies for disadvantaged & vulnerable groups
