Voices of Resilience is an Erasmus+ KA220 project that aims to address the challenges related to youth trauma across Europe, with a particular focus on young people affected by the war in Ukraine. Through an innovative approach based on digital storytelling and the empowerment of youth workers, the project seeks to offer practical tools and educational strategies to support young people on their path to healing and inclusion.
At the heart of the project is digital storytelling, understood as a creative and therapeutic method that enables young people to share complex experiences and reclaim their voices. The project will provide youth workers with structured training on how to use these techniques effectively, even in emotionally intense settings.
The main activities of the project include:
- The “Voices of Resilience Handbook”: a methodological guide that integrates digital storytelling techniques and psychological tools, aimed at youth workers who support young people dealing with trauma.
- A transnational training program for youth workers from Italy, Spain, Romania, and Ukraine, to apply the methods in real contexts.
- The production of a participatory documentary that will collect the stories of the young people involved, raising awareness among the European public on youth mental health and the impact of war.
- Local and international dissemination events to promote the project’s approach and results, involving educational communities and key stakeholders.
Through the cooperation of six partner organizations in Italy, Spain, Romania, and Ukraine, Voices of Resilience aims to generate lasting impact in the field of youth work, improving its quality and recognition, promoting social inclusion, and contributing to a more empathetic and supportive Europe.
