RainbowUp is an Erasmus+ KA220 project aimed at combating the social exclusion of LGBTQI+ youth by strengthening the role of youth workers as agents of change. Through an innovative and multidimensional approach, the project seeks to create concrete tools to promote the well-being, safety, and inclusion of LGBTQI+ young people within local European communities.
The main activities include: the creation of a Handbook for youth workers, gathering guidelines, educational strategies, and psychological support techniques; the development of the RainbowApp, an interactive app designed for LGBTQI+ youth to provide guidance, emotional support, and information about available services; and the implementation of an international training program and local trainings for youth workers to spread innovative skills and promote a support network at the European level.
RainbowUp promotes an inclusive vision of society, raising awareness in communities about diversity, respect, and equal rights. Through the active involvement of associations and educational centers from five European countries, the project aims to create a lasting impact, helping to build more welcoming and safer environments for all young people in schools, workplaces, and society at large.
