FASHION-UP NEWSLETTER #1

The first Newsletter of the FASHION-UP - Erasmus+ KA2 Projetc Cooperation in VET is now available online

Circular Economy Portugal (CEP) - the Portuguese partner organization of FASHION-UP - releases the first informative newsletter retracing the most important steps taken to date for the development of the project activities.  The newsletter is part of the communication strategy that each partner will follow to spread the issues addressed by FASHION-UP at local level and among their stakeholders, concerning a concept of green artisanal fashion that combines originality and environmental sustainability, enhancing the creative reuse of clothes and fabrics through the upcycling process.

Upcycling is a tailoring technique that is well suited to artisanal creations and which gives a unique peculiarity to the clothes that are made thanks to its use by transforming used clothes or not fit for sale textile materials into new, original, high-quality garments with significant added value. The project intends to develop a Training Program focused on tailoring techniques for fashion upcycling, aimed at future professionals in the fashion sector. In this first phase of work the partners are committed to outlining a theoretical framework of reference from which the technical-practical contents to be included in the program will derive.

The communication strategy involves the issuing of four newsletters at regular intervals at the project  key steps of implementation.
