Course Overview: The course provides participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to develop and write a successful Erasmus KA1 proposal. It covers an introduction to the Erasmus programme and a deep dive into the specifics of KA1. It also guides participants through the process of proposal writing, partner identification, and project implementation. The course is designed to be interactive, with a mix of theoretical sessions, case study analyses, and hands-on exercises to ensure that participants can confidently develop their proposals.
MAIN TRAINING PROGRAM
Day 1: Introduction to the Erasmus Programme and KA1 mobility actions
- Overview of the Erasmus Programme – history, objectives, and impact.
- Ice-breaking session and group discussions on participants' experiences with Erasmus or similar programmes.
- Specifics of KA1 – understanding mobility projects, eligible activities, and key objectives.
- Review of successful KA1 projects to identify common factors and best practices.
- Group discussion on how these elements could be applied in participants' contexts.
Day 2: Analyzing successful proposals and developing abstracts
- Dissecting successful KA1 proposals – understanding the structure, key components, and evaluation criteria.
- Analysing provided samples of successful proposals, focusing on the abstract and overall approach.
- Writing an abstract –drafting a proposal abstract.
- Group feedback on the abstracts, with suggestions for refinement.
Day 3: Partner identification and online tools
- Finding the right hosting partners – strategies and best practices.
- Exploration of online tools and platforms for partner search (e.g. ESEP, European School Education Platform of European Union).
- Practical session on using online tools to identify potential partners and resources
Day 4: Writing the proposal and planning mobility
- Detailed walkthrough of the KA1 proposal form – sections, requirements, and tips for effective writing.
- Drafting a KA1 proposal, focusing on the key sections (e.g., project description, objectives, methodology).
- Planning the mobility project – from logistics to learning outcomes.
Day 5: Implementation, follow-up, and accreditation
- Implementing the KA1 mobility project – timelines, budget management, and monitoring.
- Discussion on the importance of follow-up, dissemination of results, and ensuring long-term impact.
- Developing a follow-up and dissemination plan – participants create a strategy for sharing project outcomes.
- Understanding Erasmus accreditation – benefits and process for schools and organisations.
- Final review of the week’s work, Q&A session, and feedback
